HIGHLY RECOMMEND I'm undergoing chemotherapy and was told by my oncologist that I would be losing my hair. This hair loss is a traumatic experience. My oncologist recommended Tiffany Wigs in Yorktown, NY. I called and made an appointment. When I went to Tiffany Wigs I felt that Phyllis was very understanding and she put me at ease. Tiffany Wigs checked my insurance coverage and found I was completely covered for the cost of the wig. As an in-network provider, they took care of billing the insurance company and there was no out of pocket expense for me. Tiffany Wigs in Yorktown was a wonderful experience. I went to Tiffany Wigs before I began chemotherapy and I was very upset about the prospect of losing my hair. Phylis was so gracious and caring and understood the pain that I was going through. She spent time educating me on the different types of wigs (synthetic, human hair, hand tied, etc) and working with me to see which type of hair was best and which style. I tried on multiple wigs and settled on a hand tied, synthetic hair wig which is close to my hair color and style. My brother was with me and he was amazed at how real the wig looks and was so impressed with Phylis. Phylis gave me very important advice which was to begin wearing the wig before I lost my hair so that I could become comfortable with it. I followed her advice and have now completed chemotherapy, but still do not have my hair, but I have become very used to my wig and have received enormous compliments on it. Many people do not know it is a wig and say that it is just a change of hairstyle. Others who know including my oncologist have said that they thought it was lovely. I am being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering and have told both the shop and the treatment facility about the outstanding treatment I received at Tiffany Wigs. As an added benefit, they were considered in-network and my insurance covered the expense of the wig. – Susan B.

Phylis Makes Tiffany Wigs a Caring Place to Shop

Tiffany Wigs in Yorktown Heights was a wonderful experience. I went to Tiffany Wigs before I began chemotherapy and I was very upset at the prospect of losing my hair. I have completed chemotherapy, but it will be 6 more months until my hair grows back. In the meantime, I have become very comfortable with the wig and most people don't know that it is not my own hair. Those that do know are very impressed with and even say it is very sophisticated. As an added benefit, Tiffany Wigs was in-network with my insurance company so I didn't have any odd of pocket expenses.

I am being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering and have recommended Tiffany Wigs to their shop, my oncologist and other people in treatment facility.

Tiffany wigs is the best thing that has happened to my family i have two aunt's that had cancer.the chemo is helping but were losing there hair fast. we went to many different shops and we felt rushed and there was not many choices for African American woman. Tiffany wigs wasn't like that the people there were the best the selection there was huge and they made my aunt feel like family. i recommend Tiffany wigs to everybody. my aunt's are so happy now that they don't have to feel like someone is looking at them funny. once again thank you Tiffany wigs

Being diagnosed with any kind of cancer is a painful experience, but I tried my best to make the recovery journey a positive one. When I walked into Tiffany Wigs, I was greeted by Steve's warm smile. Steve later introduced me to Phyllis, a wonderfully compassionate hairstylist extraordinaire! Phyllis provide me with guidance to the styles and choices suited for me. Although I did not bring a friend to help me with the numerous choices, but at the end of the day I felt I have a friend at Tiffany Wigs. Thank You Phyllis for brightening up my day!

Phyllis is a wonderful person

My friend lives in the Bronx and she was staying at my house in Peekskill to get away for a respit during chemoherapy treatments. After her second treatment, her hair started falling out at a rapid rate, which was devastating. We visited Tiffany Wigs in Yorktown Heights and was greeted by Phyllis who was so compassionate and caring. A wig was ordered that was so close to her hair color and style that you couldn't detect that it was not her hair. We were thrilled to say the least.

After receiving the wig, a few days later Phyllis called my friend to ensure that she was happy with the quality and fit of her wig. She also told my friend to stop by to make sure that it wasn't making even the slightest mark on her bare scalp and causing any discomfort. We will be visiting Tiffany's and seeing Phyllis very soon when my friend stays with us for a few days. As a caregiver, I highly recommend Tiffany's and Phyllis. Pros: close to my home. Cons: far from the Bronx but worth it!
